China Railway Special Goods develops a new generation of intelligent mobile cold storage to solve the problem of cold chain "breakage"

In March 2025, China Railway Special Freight Logistics released a new generation of green intelligent mobile cold storage sample boxes at the Zhengzhou Machinery Maintenance Section, overcoming the bottleneck of public rail intermodal transportation technology through the "industry university research application" collaborative model. This refrigerated container adopts a modular design, suitable for multi scenario transportation by road and railway. Its composite refrigeration system combines radiation refrigeration materials and phase change cold storage units, which can achieve precise temperature control in a wide temperature range of -40 ℃ to 30 ℃, saving more than 20% energy compared to traditional equipment.

It is reported that the new mobile cold storage solves the integration problem of "storage+transportation" of fresh products through the "sandwich" foaming process and high-performance polyurethane insulation material, especially suitable for the pre cooling and transit transportation of agricultural products in the production area, and meets the "no overturning" demand. China Railway Special Goods plans to invest 50 sample boxes for commercial operation within this year, with a focus on serving the agricultural product distribution center in the Yangtze River Delta. It is expected to reduce regional cold chain logistics costs by 15% -20%.
