In March 2025, the Ministry of Transport officially released four industry standards, including the "Technical Specification for Intelligent Terminals of Refrigerated Containers", to establish unified technical requirements for the research, development, production, and application of intelligent devices for refrigerated containers. This specification specifies core indicators such as temperature and humidity monitoring accuracy, cold machine fault alarm response time, and requires equipment to have real-time tracking, intelligent temperature control, and full traceability functions.
According to the interpretation of the Ministry of Transport, there have been issues in the industry such as poor equipment compatibility and chaotic data formats, which have led to a high risk of cold chain breakage. After the implementation of the new regulations, logistics companies can achieve upstream and downstream temperature control information sharing through standardized terminals, while port and shipping companies can optimize the efficiency of refrigerated container scheduling. The industry expects that by 2026, the market penetration rate of smart refrigerators that meet the new standards will exceed 40%, significantly reducing the transportation loss rate of fresh agricultural products.
